Cross-recovery

In this article, you will find information about which metadata can be restored between GitLab and other Git providers.

Cross-recovery enables restoring repositories, groups, and project data to different GitLab instances or a supported Git platform, ensuring operational continuity and flexible disaster recovery across environments.

Available Git platforms

In general, Xopero ONE allows you to restore data across all supported DevOps platforms. Different vendors provide various types of metadata, which may not be common to all providers. As a result, during the restore process, some metadata might not be available for restoration.

The table below outlines protected GitLab metadata and where it can be restored.
