Recovering contacts and calendars
This article describes how to restore contacts and calendars from a Microsoft 365 backup.
Recovery process
Get into the restore view using the following method:
Method 1:
Open the Microsoft 365 tab, then click the Manage & Restore button next to the organization whose backup you want to restore.

Search for the user whose data you want to restore, and click the Restore button in the action menu of that repository.

Next, select the backup plan from which you want to restore data. Click View available plans and choose one of the plans from the list.

Choose the backup version from all the backups that have already been performed — select the desired date and click the Restore button.

Select the destination for the restore process.

In the next aside, switch to the Contacts tab and select the contact directories you want to restore. Then, move to the Calendars tab and do the same for the available calendars.

The system allows you to precisely choose the data you want to recover. You can restore everything by clicking the Restore all button, or select specific files and folders by marking their checkboxes and clicking the Restore selected button.

Next, select the destination where you want to restore the data.

A. Restore to a Microsoft 365 account.
Select restore directory using one of the available options:
New directory — creates a new directory containing all the restored data (this option will create a new directory with the restored contacts called Xopero_, which will contain all the recovered data; if you also restore calendars using this option, all events from the selected calendars will be merged into a single calendar named Xopero_).

Original directory — restores the data to its original location (you can also choose to overwrite existing OneDrive files; the option to create a copy of overwritten OneDrive data is currently unavailable).
In Restore directory, you can also limit bandwidth usage by setting a maximum speed and choose the default worker (device used to restore the data).

B. Restore to a device
Choose the device that will serve as the restore destination.
In the next aside, select the exact destination path for your files, then click Apply.

In Restore settings, you can also limit bandwidth usage by setting a maximum speed and choose the default worker (device used to restore the data).

After completing the form, click the Restore button to begin the restore process. You can track its progress in the Tasks tab.
