Limitations
In this article, you will learn about the functional limitations of encrypting backup copies in AES-CBC 256 mode.
Selecting the highest encryption mode—AES-CBC 256—provides the strongest level of cryptographic security but introduces certain limitations for specific Xopero ONE functions.

Functionality limitations related to selecting a high encryption level are:
Running a disk image copy as an iSCSI disk.
Running a virtual machine copy as an iSCSI disk.
Running a virtual machine copy in Instant Restore mode (VMware).
The limitations described above result from the hardware performance of the machines used for real-time decryption of copies and their mapping as iSCSI disks or VMware virtual disks.
The use of AES-CBC 256 encryption does not affect the accuracy or reliability of backup and recovery operations.
