# Xopero ONE 2.0.0

### 🆕 NEW FEATURES

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">2FA</mark>

We have introduced two-factor authentication (**2FA**) in **Xopero ONE** and **GitProtect** to enhance platform security and implement modern authentication practices. Users can now log in using a one-time code generated by apps like **Google Authenticator** in addition to their password.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Currently, **2FA** is available for password-based logins; **SSO** support will be added in a future release.
{% endhint %}

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Apple M series processor support</mark>

To meet growing demand for **Apple** devices with **M1**/**M2** processors, version 2.0.0 introduces full compatibility with **Apple Silicon**. This ensures seamless operation of our agents on **ARM**-based **Mac** systems.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Login support from the MSP level</mark>

We have added foundational support for direct **MSP** partner access to customer environments, configurable as **full** or **read-only** access. This feature will become visible once the **Xopero ONE MSP** update is officially released. **By default, access is disabled.**

### 🔨 IMPROVEMENTS

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Deduplication optimization</mark>

Major improvements have been made to the deduplication engine for disk image and **VMware** backup workflows. These changes significantly reduce scanning overhead and improve comparison speed.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The deduplication data format has been updated. After upgrading, **performing a deduplication cleanup is recommended**. Further performance enhancements are planned for version 2.0.5.
{% endhint %}

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Changes to defining the foreground for a resource</mark>

To streamline onboarding, the first step of backup plan configuration has been updated:

* [x] The option to close the wizard without configuration has been removed.
* [x] Default plans now inherit the creation time to better distribute system load.
* [x] Encryption and storage hints, as well as UI labels, have been improved.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Information about the worker in the task summary</mark>

Task summaries, such as for **Microsoft 365** and **Git**, now show which **worker** device executed each task, providing clarity in multi-**agent** environments.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Optimization of task handling</mark>

The backend has been significantly optimized to handle simultaneous backup tasks across multiple environments, improving performance in large and dynamic infrastructures.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Microsoft 365 message preview log</mark>

Info-level logs have been added for each message previewed during restore, enhancing auditability without affecting existing functionality.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Additional logs for SMB</mark>

Introduced **detailed DEBUG-level logs** for **SMB** restores, including:

* [x] Sync mechanism operations.
* [x] File names and sizes.
* [x] **SMB** protocol responses.

These additions provide deeper insight into the restore process and support advanced troubleshooting.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Remote agent update</mark>

Checksum handling now supports configurable validity periods — **15 minutes for SaaS** and **45 minutes for on-prem**. It also includes remote update support for **DMZ** devices, removing the need for manual checksum generation.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Cache support for iSCSI</mark>

Performance during disk image backup and **VMware** instant restore has been improved with read caching for **iSCSI**, resulting in faster and more efficient operations.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">NotConnected status improvements for tasks</mark>

We’ve improved the behavior of tasks marked as **NotConnected**, including:

* [x] No blocking of concurrent tasks.
* [x] A retry mechanism after 30 minutes.
* [x] Proper queuing of reconnecting devices that now respect task limits.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Increased limit of parallel SaaS tasks</mark>

Introduced an internal environment variable that allows **adjusting parallel task limits for SaaS backups** — providing greater flexibility when operating in large environments.

### 🐛 BUGFIXES

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">No copy on target storage after replication</mark>

Ensures that target storage correctly displays backup data after replication completes.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Remote update for WS2008 and 2012</mark>

Improved clarity with an informative message explaining platform limitations — remote updates remain unsupported.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Replication ignores schedule window</mark>

Replication now respects the defined time windows for execution.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">SLA statistics reset</mark>

Settings are now preserved after deleting plans or restarting services.

#### <mark style="background-color:blue;">Manually running a plan with a backup window</mark>
