# The image-level backup does not work on Linux

## Issue

> The image-level backup of **Linux OS** doesn't work.

## Cause

**Xopero ONE** supports image-level backups <mark style="color:red;">**only for Windows**</mark>. **Linux operating systems are not supported for this type of backup.**

## Resolution

You will have to use a [file-level backup](/xopero-one-en/backup-and-recovery/workstations-and-servers/file-level-backup.md) to protect your **Linux** device.
