Groups

In Xopero ONE, you can create groups and assign devices to them. Groups help you identify devices within your infrastructure and organize them according to the hierarchy of your company.

Creating a group

1

Open Devices tab in Xopero ONE Management Service (XMS) console. Select Groups from the top menu and click the Add group button.

You won't see the Groups menu in the default view—you must change it to list view.

If the Groups menu does not appear in the list view, select one or more devices to make it visible.

2

Enter a custom name for the group and click Add group button at the bottom of the panel or press Enter.

3

All created groups will be displayed in Groups menu panel.

To add a device to a group, select one or more devices and click the Add to group button in the top menu, then choose the group you want to assign the devices to.

To check which group a device belongs to, click the Device details button on the right and scroll down to the Groups section.

💡 You can also customize your list dashboard view to display the device group name by default.

Next to the group name is the Group details icon:

In group details, you will find information about devices assigned to a group and their statuses, group's storage usage and group's assigned plans.

Additionally, in the group details panel, you can create plans and assign them to specific groups. The plan will be executed on all devices in the group, including both existing devices and any that are added in the future.
