Backup

Organizations using Jira Free and Jira Standard plans are subject to a limitation that restricts backups to a minimum interval of 6 hours. To comply with this constraint, it is recommended to schedule backups at least every 6 hours and 1 minute. Attempts to execute backups at shorter intervals will result in an error indicating this limitation.

Jira premium organizations have no limits.

Restoration

A single Jira instance supports a maximum of 100 restoration operations. Any attempt to exceed this limit cannot be processed because of constraints in the Jira API.

This restriction is not officially documented by Atlassian. It was identified during internal testing and confirmed through operational observations.
