License types in Xopero ONE Management Console

License types

Xopero ONE allows to use of three types of licenses:

  • Local worker/Cloud worker/Feature worker - is the free license type assigned per agent. It allows managing the storage, restoring backups, and combined with a dedicated Microsoft365 or GitProtect or Jira license allows performing backups of Microsoft 365/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket/Jira. The device with such a license cannot perform the backup of itself.

  • Endpoint - is the license type assigned per agent for Windows or macOS. It has all of the Feature worker possibilities and additionally allows to back up the machine on which the agent with such license is installed.

  • Server - is the license type assigned per agent for Windows server or Linux systems. It has all of the Endpoint possibilities and additionally allows backing up databases.

  • Virtual Agent per Host/Virtual Agent per Socket - is the license type assigned per VMware or Hyper-V host. It allows performing the host-level backup of all virtual machines inside.

  • Microsoft365 - is the license type assigned per one Microsoft365 user.

  • GitProtect - is the license type assigned per GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket repository.

  • Jira - is the license type assigned per Jira user.

Viewing licenses

Types of licenses in Xopero ONE Management Console may vary a bit from its business forms. Licenses used in Xopero ONE are assigned to agents that are performing backup (types: endpoint, server, feature worker, cloud worker, local worker) or to backed-up objects (as a Microsoft 365 user or a Git repository).

To check available licenses in the Xopero ONE management console go to Settings > License > See details and all available licenses list will be displayed.

To increase the number of available licenses please contact sales@xopero.com.

Refresh the license

Xopero ONE Management service allows you to refresh the license manually. Thanks to it, you don't have to wait until the moment, when your Management Service will refresh your license module by itself, but to do it instantly. This functionality may be useful, for example, when you will increase your licenses.

To refresh your license, hit the Refresh button, which is available in Settings, License.
