When adding a Hyper-V host, you have the option to configure the frequency of automatic synchronization for host information. However, you don't need to wait for the automatic sync to occur; you can manually synchronize the information whenever needed. But before diving into the synchronization process, let's explore how to access and view the list of available virtual machines.
To access the list of available virtual machines on the Hyper-V host, navigate to the Hyper-V tab and then click on Manage & Restore.
Upon clicking, a new window displaying the VM list will appear. At the bottom of the window, you'll find details about the last successful synchronization. The VM list can be sorted based on various criteria such as name, online status, or machine status. You can further customize the displayed columns by utilizing the sprocket icon. Additionally, clicking on the magnifying glass icon will allow you to apply filters to display specific devices, while advanced filters can be accessed through the Advanced search button.
Apart from the list of virtual machines, you will notice a 'Sync now' button positioned at the top. This button comes in handy when you need to instantly update information about virtual machines.
