MinIO is an open-source, high-performance, distributed object storage system that implements the same public API as Amazon S3. The MinIO server can be used as a local alternative to public cloud systems.
For more information go to the MinIO website.
Data storage is the location where the backups are stored. Xopero ONE allows users to define multiple datastores and every backup plan can use different storage. During the backup, the agent sends the data directly to the data storage. Storage management is available on the Storages tab in Xopero ONE web-panel.
One of the many types is S3 storage. To add new storage to Xopero ONE, open the Storages tab and click the (+) Add storage button.
Add storage name
Set storage type to S3 storage
Provide the Access key ID field with the MinIO username and select or add a secret access key from the Password manager.
The Access key ID and secret access key are credentials used for logging in to the MinIO web console
Set the Service URL to MinIO's address. Default MinIO's port is 9000.
Set the bucket name
The bucket is created via the MinIO web console
Before saving, ensure that the device, which will browse the storage, can reach it. By using the Change button, you can select one of the devices assigned to Xopero ONE as the browsing machine - the one that will connect the share to the system.
