Instant restore is an instant virtual machine restore. It consists in restoring the machine's configuration files to the VMware datastore, preparing a virtual machine, and then mounting the disks run directly from the copy to it. Thanks to this, the Xopero ONE Administrator does not have to wait for the entire machine to be restored directly to VMware and can start using it almost immediately.
The Instant restore is not a production solution and should only be used as a disaster recovery. For production data restore, Whole machine restore option is available.
Go to the list of datastoge and then select the browse button for vault where the virtual machine backup is located.
Select the plan and the version of the machine you want to restore.
Select the Instant restore option.
Specify the location where the virtual machine should be run, its name and click the Next button.
Decide whether the restored machine should be automatically restarted and select using port.
Initialize the machine's instant restore using the Start now button.
The machine will be available from your VMware server. You can check the running instant restore tasks from the Tasks tab.
After you finish working with the machine, you can shut it down by canceling the current Instant Restore job. To do this, select the X button, and then confirm that you want to cancel the instant resotre task.
