Xopero ONE v1.9.5

🆕 NEW FEATURES

Remote agent update

Administrators managing larger infrastructures with multiple physical or virtual devices can now benefit from remote agent updates. Version 1.9.5 introduces the long-anticipated capability to update agents directly from the management interface — either individually or in bulk, including devices without Internet access.

Hyper-V -bypass unallocated block

Backup tasks now intelligently skip unallocated blocks on Hyper-V virtual disks, resulting in more efficient restorations and optimized space usage for dynamic disks.

🔨 IMPROVEMENTS

Sorting packages and tasks

Task views now reflect launch order and highlight active tasks, improving clarity and navigation for both immediate execution and queued tasks.

Modifying compression levels

Compression settings were fine-tuned to achieve a better balance between backup speed and data compaction — resulting in faster backups while maintaining efficient storage use.

Updating storage occupancy and backup copy information

Improved accuracy and performance in reporting S3 storage usage, with reduced memory and API resource consumption during refresh operations.

Cloud Worker performance

Worker processes now isolate cache and temporary data, reducing storage dependency and improving SaaS performance. Enhanced logging also aids diagnostics.

BMR & SVSCreator

Refinements to UI/UX for image building, BMR tool branding updates, and improved message handling streamline recovery workflows.

Loading the device list

Performance bottlenecks when displaying large device inventories were resolved for smoother user experience.

Disabling compatibility with versions < 1.5.0

Support for agents below version 1.5.0 has been retired, ensuring higher consistency and reducing backend load.

Windows 11 support via SVS Creator

Image building via SVS Creator now works seamlessly on Windows 11 environments.

Support for full VSS copies during VMware backup

New backup plans now default to VSS_BT_FULL mode, enabling transaction log truncation and better integration with application-aware backups.

🐛 BUGFIXES

SMBLibrary

Includes several important bug fixes for SMB share support. We hope that these fixes will also improve stability and communication with SMB storages.

Deleting data from storage

Now fully removes deduplicated data, ensuring accurate space reclamation after deletions.

Changing the interface language

No longer requires account management permissions for non-admin users to change the interface language.

Task package running time after restarting the management service

Task runtime reporting remains accurate even after management service restarts.

Hyper-V and continuing when encountering app-aware errors

Hyper-V fallback behavior for application-aware snapshots now works as expected.

Problems running the agent on Debian 12

Agent startup on Debian 12/Ubuntu 24.04 is now seamless after .NET6 adoption.
